Abhayashrama has been running the Navachethana Short Stay Home from the beginning to help women in distress. However in 2015 the department of women and child development launched the SWADHAR GREH a scheme for “Women in Difficult Circumstances”. Since the goals of Navachethana Short Stay Home were similar to those envisaged under the SWADAR GREH, Our Short Stay Home was continued under the SWADHAR GREH scheme.

Abhayashrama is committed to uplifting backward communities by offering free education to children and providing comprehensive counseling services to individuals facing emotional stress. Our mission extends to offering temporary shelter for women and children in distress, ensuring complete confidentiality and a supportive environment. We strive to reconcile families, provide medical care, legal aid, and vocational training, and facilitate job placements to help individuals rebuild their lives.
