Vatsalya Children Home

Vatsalya children home is a residential home for children, in the age of 6 to 1 8 years, consisting of orphans, children of single parents or from broken homes. Here they are provided Education, good nutrition and facilities for overall development of their personal ity. Apart from comm ittee members, resource persons from various fields are invited to interact and council the children about health and hygiene, social behaviour and more importantly safe and unsafe touch. Every month end birthdays of the children born in that month are celebrated.

Mamatha Shishu Mandira

We actively cooperated with various government initiatives throughout the year. We submitted reports to the Rashtriya Shishupalana Yojana and the Women and Child Development Department as per their guidelines. This included details on our children, staff, and facilities.

As per the instructions given by the Women and Child Development Department as per the order of the Central Government, we have sent the complete details of the children, the name of the chi ld, the date of birth, Aadhaar number and parents’ Aadhaar number, home address to the department.

Navachethana – Swadhaar Greh

Abhayashrama had been running the Navachethana Short Stay Home from the beginning to help women in distress. However in 2015 the department of women and child development launched the SWADHAR GREH….a scheme for UWomen in Difficult Circumstances”. Since the goals of Navachethana Short Stay Home were similar to those envisaged under the SWADAR GREH, Our Short Stay Home was continued underthe SWADHAR GREH scheme.

Facilities for the rehabilitation of such women like food, clothing, shelter, counseling, training in vocational courses, legal and medical aid are provided. The women and girls come from different situations like family discord, crime, violence, mental stress, moral danger, survivors of natural disasters, victims of domestic violence, begging, th rown out of homes etc.

Abhaya Family Counselling Centre

ASHI is running the Abhaya Family counselling centre from 1987. The counselling centre which receives aid from Central Social Welfare Board provides structured counselling and intervention to students, individuals and families. The Family Counselling Centre has played a crucial role in healing family relationships by helping families, as well as individual members of families, deal with problems that affect the whole family.
